Currently I am finishing up a website for a client.
When I am done, I want to start combining some ideas I had with parts and concepts of Project Deploy and the jQuery UI.
I’m not sure what direction the idea is going in yet.
I think it would be cool to have an option to store configurations on a database. The advantage of this would be something similar to templates.
I would also like to make something that builds different directory layouts, because not all projects require the same structure.
I haven’t looked at how either of the existing projects handle js package dependencies [yet], but I want to use some sort of standardized notation for guiding the dependency logic.
Adding new code packages to the system should not be a hassle. New packages should be able to be placed in appropriate directories ; and the system should then recognize it automatically. I have a bit of code I made a few months back that might do the trick.
This has been in my head for a while now, and I want some feedback.

I’m digging this idea a lot. I want to start working on Deploy* 2, which might be what you are looking for. Now, I’m not even at a functioning prototype yet, but if you email me (should show up in your comments in WP) I’d like discussing this with you further.

This is very cool!
I saw Deploy a few months ago on Ajaxian. I can’t wait to get started.
I’ll send an email in a bit ; I’m finishing up the site right now. After that I have to do tons of data entry *dies*.
